Herbivore or Carnivore?

Today we learned about the difference between herbivores and carnivores. We cut out magazine pictures of food and sorted them into two piles. We also practiced sorting our own kitchen food in our kitchen center. In the book we read, A Boy Wants a Dinosaur we learned about a new term--omnivore! The dinosaur in the book ate meat and plants, so it was an omnivore.

Don't be surprised when we bring home our very own paper plate pet dinosaurs! We painted them and even had a chance to play with them.
