We just can't get enough of the color pink! Today we finished some of the activities we didn't have time for on Friday, including our Pink Flamingo story and craft, and also started preparing for our Earth day/recycling theme for this week. We read the story Sylvie, by Jennifer Sattler, about a young flamingo who wondered what it would taste like to be a color other than pink. We made our own pink flamingos using handprints. In the afternoon, we tested our taste buds with a pink Kool-Aid taste test. Students wrote down the number of the Kool-Aid they liked best out of three flavors, and we created a graph. Black Cherry was the overall favorite! Drinking Koola-Aid made us all look forward to summer time :) Don't forget to sign up to bring a side dish for the Kozy Heart Garden party! Sign up sheets are available online (see email from Nicole) or on the front and back doors of Kozy Heart. Thanks!
