There are lots of things growing in the Kozy Heart Preschool Classroom this week! During this unseasonably warm week (it seems more like summer than fall!), we have been spending a lot of time outside and learning about how seeds grow. We also have an experiment going inside where we are observing what happens when seeds don't get any water or sunlight. Outside, we are growing our own classroom of grass people. We filled old nylons with dirt and grass seeds, and can't wait to see the results! Today we also took advantage of the nice weather and did some bubble art outside. After putting food coloring and dish soap in some bubble liquid, we used bubble wands to blow bubbles at our papers. The bubbles popped, leaving a cool circular outline and colored spatter. For math, we have been practicing our counting using seeds, and making patterns with sidewalk chalk.
Book graph update: So far we are up to 82 books! It is amazing that everyone has been doing so much reading at home, keep it up! We have another whole week to reach our goal of 100, so don't forget to bring in your library cards.
