Hello again friends and families! This week we finished our theme of family and friends. The preschoolers learned a lot about what it means to help each other and work things out with friends. They have been doing a great job earning stickers by being bucket fillers! Next week we will be focusing on our bodies and senses. Here is a slideshow of some of the activities that we've been doing this week: Click to download next week's lesson plans:

Hello and welcome to our brand new preschool blog! Here we will be posting information about upcoming lesson plans and center events as well as pictures of our work. Check back regularly to see what we're up to!
Week of January 9-13 Our theme this week has been family. We have been learning and talking especially about how family members can help each other. Miss Carey and Miss Nicole have shared quite a few books all about families! We also have been practicing tracing family words like mom, dad, brother, and sister. In Art we got to draw pictures of us helping our family. Math time has been fun too! We got to spend family time playing Candyland and counting and sorting gems. Last week we read the book, Have You Filled A Bucket Today? by Carol McCloud and we've been working on being bucket fillers ever since. Being a bucket filler means to be nice and do nice things for others. You can be a bucket filler just by saying please and thank you! We also learned what it means to be a bucket dipper--doing things that might hurt our friends' feelings. We are not bucket dippers! We got to decorate buckets and put them up in our classroom. Each day we get a sticker for being a bucket filler and when we have 10 stickers we get to choose a prize from the treasure chest! It's easy to be a bucket filler and it makes our class happy and fun. |
