We've had a week long celebration of all things St. Patrick's day related. Yesterday Mrs. B came to read us and we had so much fun! We got to graph (and eat) lucky charms cereal for math, go on a leprechaun gold hunt in the backyard, and even get our hands messy with green hair gel! We even grew leprechaun eggs (aqua gems) in our classroom!
Today we made a rainbow in a bottle using liquids with different densities and food coloring. We talked about what it means for something to be a liquid and then our scientists-in-training made observations about our rainbow bottle. Going along with the rainbow theme was our rainbow rice sensory bin. The kids loved playing with the rainbow rice and it was very easy to make. Check back soon for more pictures and details about our St. Patrick's day celebration!
